What is @gnomegpt / KabouterPrompt??

Technology is at its best when it actually brings people together. In a world focused on instant gratification, it’s easy to lose sight of the human and connecting element in creativity.

GnomeGPT (or Kabouter Prompt) isn’t a protest against progress or AI.
It’s just a creative response to it, an art project built around the creative act and human connection.

When you type a prompt or upload an image, it doesn't feed an algorithm.
It goes directly to real people, called 'Gnomes'. This could be an illustrator, a writer, a poet, a musician, etc.

But in the end, it could be anyone.

They use your idea, spend time with it, and craft something original, just for you.

To remind you that the best magic happens when you start creating and connecting.

Did you know that a single cigarette can take up to 15 years to decompose, releasing microplastics and toxins into our nature and oceans? To raise awareness, we brought traditional Dutch "Delft Blue" tiles to life.

Op veel van mijn schoolrapporten stond vaak de opmerking: ‘Mikélé, stop met dagdromen!’ 
Wisten mijn leerkrachten veel…

Deze illustratie, getiteld ‘Dagdromen’, toont de kinderlijke verwondering die gepaard gaat met dagdromen. Iets wat ons als volwassenen vaak wordt afgeleerd, of wat kinderen soms al vroeg wordt ontnomen door bijvoorbeeld een moeilijke thuissituatie.

Ik ben van mening dat dagdromen een superkracht is. Iets wat we allemaal, ongeacht afkomst of achtergrond, verdienen.

(FYI: ondanks al dat dagdromen, is het met mij gelukkig helemaal goedgekomen)

Voor @de_verhalenweverij maakte ik samen met @_hermini_ deze illustratie. Zij houden binnenkort een prachtige tentoonstelling en veiling ten voordele van vluchtelingenkinderen 🤍

Little did my teachers know…
 The illustration, titled 'Day Dreaming', captures the childlike wonder that comes with daydreaming. This is something we as adults are often taught to outgrow, or that children are sometimes deprived of too early due to a difficult home situation, for example.

I believe that daydreaming is a superpower. Something we all deserve, regardless of our heritage or background. 
(FYI: despite all that daydreaming, I luckily turned out just fine)

I created this illustration with @_hermini_ for @de_verhalenweverij. They will soon be hosting a beautiful exhibition and auction to benefit refugee children 🤍
